Subject: – MINUTES OF THE MANAGING COMMITTEE MEETING OF PSPA

                HELD AT OFFICE OF ASSOCIATION AT 8 P.M ON AUG 07, 2023.

1. The subject meeting was chaired by Chairman PSPA Mr. Muhammad Hashim.

Minutes of this meeting are enclosed herewith;

   PROCEEDINGS

3. The SG-PSPA sought permission from Chairman PSPA to start the proceedings with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mr. Munir Ahmed of Rizwan Ind Corp. (Pvt.) Ltd.

     Approval of the Minutes of M.C. Meeting held on July 05, 2023.

4. The SG-PSPA went through Minutes of the MC Meeting held on July 05, 2023.

The Minutes were considered to be recorded correctly. Mr. Faisal Rauf of Samad Pipe Industries (Pvt.) Ltd proposed that the Minutes be approved. Mr. Hamza Nadeem           of        A.N. Pipe Industries (Pvt.) Ltd seconded the proposal. Thus, these Minutes were approved as such. Then SG handed over the forum to Chairman-PSPA for further proceedings.

PSPA Elections 2023-24.

5. The SG-PSPA The Secretary General explained the main rules governing the PSPA Elections. He requested all Members to follow the rules strictly.

Renewal of Licence -PSPA.

6. The case is in progress.

Approval of Audit Report 2022-23.

7. The Annual Audit Report for the year 2022-23 was scrutinized by the Members

and was found in order. Mr. Kashif Inayat of Inayat Pipe Industries (Pvt.) Ltd proposed that the Audit Report be approved. This was seconded by Mr. Shahzad Farooq by Farooq Steel Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. Hence the Annual Audit Report for the year 2022-23 was approved.

FATA/PATA Case.

8. Disparities in Taxes /Duties of Steel Line Pipe Manufacturing Industries regarding

import of HRC as raw material (flat products) was discussed. It was decided to develop consensus among industry members to be on one grid /platform for level playing of our business and competitive prices of our finished goods in the market. All members unanimously announced to take up our this case on platform of PSPA with concerned Ministries/ FBR to eliminate these disparities in Taxes/ Duties for uniform patron throughout whole the country. Efforts should also be made to convince these authorities to put up our this case for necessary amendments in the constitution also.

Payment of Annual Subscription of PSPA outstanding toward members. 

9. Secretary General requested all remaining members to pay their outstanding dues/

funds toward this Association as soon as possible as Association is facing dare shortage of funds to run its routine financial matters and may also be requiring further funds for running /pursuing of our above mentioned issues financially.   

10. There being no other point, meeting came to an end with a vote of thanks to the chair.
